Yesterday, while Cara slept after she worked the night shift, I loaded the two kids into the double jogger to go for a LONG run. It was a beautiful day! We had enough food, drink and changes of clothes to last us a few days. Just as we entered Golden Gate Park we passed a corral with a few horses in it. It is usually empty so we decided to stop to see what was going on. It was a non-profit program designed to give kids with disabilities the chance to be around, care for, and ride horses. They were very kind to let Sienna participate in all of their activities. We ended up staying there until we had to head home. While we had a wonderful time my long run turned out to be only two blocks.
Sienna loved being around the horses. She especially liked brushing the horses, feeding them carrots, trying on all the helmets, and of course riding them!

She looks SOOOO grown up on that horse. What about the little guy? Did he participate? Post pictures!!!
So cute! Guess you need to move out to Kansas and buy some farm land!
You are a fun dad! And, you guys always are finding fun things to do in the city. Sienna is quite a doll.
That picture of her on the horse is a classic!! Posing for the camera! How fun that you got to do that. Who says you can't enjoy country life in the middle of the big city??!
Sweet Sienna is wearing a motorcycle helmut on the horse? Sweet little rider! Giddyup!
I remember having to bribe Daenen when he was 2 to get on a horse with an ice cream cone. Outside McDonalds they had these pony's and you could get all dressed in the gear and take a photo on the pony for $1. You (and Sienna) would have been all over it!
