The first of many....

Last month, Cara and I teamed up to compete in an adventure race. It was Cara's first time participating in one and we had a great time. For those of you who may not be familiar with adventure racing, I'll give you a brief description. It is similar to a triathlon, but instead of the 3 traditional sports (cycling, running, and swimming), it is mountain biking, trail running/orienteering, and kayaking. In each section there are checkpoints. You and your teammate get to map out your own course to try to get as many checkpoints as you can within the allotted time.
The race started and ended in Sausalito. It was such a beautiful day and surprisingly the water was pretty smooth despite all the bad weather leading up to the race. I was really proud of Cara, she did really well and I think this is only the first of many adventure races to come. All proceeds from the race went to help victims in Haiti. Here are a few shots from the race:

Cara told me about this, and I thought of another race you had posted. You guys are amazing! I would love to do something like this with you both. It looked like a great day, and a beautiful course.
