7 years

Cara and I have been married for 7 years today. Without getting all mushy, it has been fabulous! I think we were both itching to do something fun, so last minute we planned a fun weekend in the city, without the kids. We drove into San Francisco Friday evening and grabbed a quick bite to eat at Out the Door, before going to the play Peter Pan. It was a fantastic show, unlike anything we had seen before. It was in a big tent with a wrap around audience. One of our favorite parts was the slow motion sword fight between Captain Hook and Peter Pan. It also reminded us to let our kids be kids and to not be in a rush for them to grow up.
After Peter Pan we went to Ghiradelli Square and Cara got a delicious ice cream sundae.
Afterward, we made our way to the Fairmont where we slept like royalty, completely uninterrupted. The next day we went to the Birth of Impressionism exhibit at the De Young Museum. It is a unique and rare exhibit hosting a number of pieces from the Musee D'Orsay, which was one of our favorite museums we visited in Paris. It was so much fun just to be together.
